Ethernet to telephone line adapter?
I live in a third world country where my DSL line is connected to the telephone socket in the wall. I have an Apple AirPort Extreme that uses Ethernet. I currently connect my router to a modem which uses a telephone line. This is inconvenient and gives me slower internet. Is there an adapter where I can connect an ethernet line to the telephone jack using an adapter or filter?
No.
Ethernet is digital whereas telephone lines are analog.
You need a modem to convert the analog signal into digital ethernet.
And no, the simple existence of a modem in front of the router does not necessarily slow down your internet speed.
