Entertainment Systems for You
There are plenty of entertainment systems in the market that provide you with excellent audio and video quality such as home theater systems, LCD TVs, plasma TVs and car stereo systems. One of the excellent OEM replacement stereo systems in the market now is Alpine CDE-102 that offers WMA/MP3/AAC playback via USB and CD port. It is a single DIN car stereo receiver with interface that emphasized efficiency over aesthetics. The Alpine features plenty of controls on the left hand side of faceplate with four buttons for power/source, skip forward, band and skip backward the most widely used functions.
Apart from these buttons, there is a rubber grip that twists to control the volume and can be pressed for basic audio adjustments like fader, bass, balance and treble. On the right hand side of the volume knob, you will find two buttons – setup/sound button and voice/telephone dial button. On the right hand side of the screen, there is a USB port for simpler installation and easy access.There are some secondary functions in Alpine CDE-102 for shuffle, radio presets and repeat and on the back of the player, there is standard wiring harness, two stereo RCA preamp outputs, antenna connection and Alpine’s Bluetooth module connection cable. It starts with playback of red book audio CDs and FM/AM radio, then adds AAC/WMA/MP3 playback to the mix. The maximum power output is rated at 50 watts per channel with average output of 18 watts per channel, which is respectable as compared to other car stereo systems in the market. Overall it provides more power, flexibility and features as compared to average factory radio.
There are plenty of entertainment systems in the market such as Bose SoundDock 10 offers really good sound from a single compact speaker, comes with minimalist classy design, fills a large room, simple to operate and plays loud without distorting. Lose the remote and you will have a problem as it controls basic functions of iPod and adjusts volume. Overall it is one of the unique sound docks in the market.
Apart from these systems, there are some other devices called Blu-ray players; one of the solid is Sony BDP-N460 that offers excellent image quality on Blu-ray movies, streams NPR, Netflix, Slacker, Amazon Video on Demand and YouTube. It is profile 2.0 compatible and has onboard decoding for DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD formats. It is a unique combination of Blu-ray performance, streaming media options like Netflix and relatively low price.The Sony BDP-N460 also includes video content from wide varieties of lesser known internet sources like blip TV, Wired, Crackle and FEARnet. It is profile 2.0 compatible which means it allows you to access BD live features available on Blu-ray movies. However, those who are looking for a Blu-ray player that provides excellent image quality, BDP-N460 is the best choice.
