my cat was bit by something…?
OK so my cat is an outside cat. I have 3 of them. We live in PCB and there are black widows in the next yard. This morning i went to feed my animals and noticed Morley cried when i picked her up. Shes still eating and drinking but i brought her inside and looked over her and noticed she has a golf ball sized swollen spot on her stomach near her back leg. I am pretty sure she got bitten, but I don’t know if it was by a snake or a spider. Could a spider cause a swollen spot that size? She still appetite and doesn’t act sick, so what should i do? I am home alone until 4 when my parents get here so i cant take her to a vet. Any ideas? Should i cut the hair and look for marks or doctor it with alcohol or what? Please help me.
Don’t try to cut away any hair, you don’t want to accidentally cut her.
It could be a spider bite or a swollen gland.
She definitely needs a vet. Until you can get to one try to call your vet and tell them what it looks like. Ask what they would recommend you do until you can come in.
