if this is not the mic can someone please point me in the direction to a nice cheap fairly good working mic for computer recording. The purpose is for music;singing and what not.
one more thing i forgot to mention was i was doing this on sound recorder application on the computer. the normal basic application that comes on the computer.
Well lucky you I happen to actually produce and record music with my computer. If I may be honest though, that mic looks rather cheap. You may not need top of the line depending on the quality you want, but get one that wont break easily. I go for big brands with warranties. PS You’ll also need an interface to plug a regular mic in to get it to line in to the computer in order to record. That can be a pre amp or desktop hardware depending on your preference. And again the software if you want decent laid out tracks. For my current set up I have a Shure SM 58 lined in to a Lexicon Omega interface which connects via usb. I record in Cubase Le, Cubase LE 4, and FL Studio. Cables and everything will be affecting of your recording as well. I mean to answer your question on simple terms, I’m sure it could record once properly lined in. However purposes makes it sound like you want good use from it, and from there I recommend just investing your full dollar in it from the beginning. It will save you money in the long hall and preserve much patience and emotion. Good Luck. Oh and I do record with a dynamic mic set. You can really go condenser if you’ll just be recording and not using for performances.
