I just bought a 4 pack of Bic Atlantis pens and the purple one does not want to write, can this be made 2 work?
The following advice will probably only work for ball-point pens. You are cautioned not to use it for other ones, unless you seriously want to kill your pen. Sorry for the inconvenience.
First of all, make sure the thing has ink in it. If you can’t see the ink, try unscrewing the pen an checking. No ink? Well then, not much you can do, but at least you’ve identified the source of the problem. Maybe you can take it back to the store and demand a refund. : )
If there is ink, try unscrewing and re-screwing the pen. It might help get the ink going.
If all this fails: Grab a match and light it. Carefully stick the writing point of the pen into the flame and turn it about a bit. If there is anything keeping the ball stuck, this should fix it. Make sure that only the metal part touches the flame, or your pen might melt a little. Good luck!
