Features to expect from your Stereo Systems
Stereo Systems are electronic devices which help improve the quality of sound you experience when listening to your favourite music. You can find stereo systems in many different styles, colours and sizes, with varying capabilities. They are also available to buy in a range of prices to suit any size of budget. There are a few parts that make up the stereo system, the central unit, with left and right speakers. However, stereo systems can have more than two speakers, depending on the size of your home. Some of the important features you should look out for when buying a stereo system, are detailed below:
Watts – the lower the watts, the better the sound quality will be. If the watt is very high, then you’ll find that your sound may be compromised.
CD Player – a CD player is pretty much a give-in with your stereo system. There may be one, or multiple CD players, so you can switch between them.
Remote Control – the remote control supplied with your stereo system, will allow you to change channels and control the volume from a distance, without having to move.
Equalizer – this function helps to ensure the sound you experience is of the best possible quality, just as you would experience in a night club.
Radio – the stereo system will usually have a function for radio, so you can listen to different music at your leisure.
Headphone Jack – this will allow you to listen to music in peace and quiet, without annoying your neighbours. Most stereo systems will have a headphone jack as part of its set up.
Subwoofer – many stereo systems come with a subwoofer provided. The subwoofer is an enhancement for the sound quality of the system, giving the ‘bassy’ sound you would normally only experience in a club or cinema. The subwoofer can really enhance the enjoyment you experience from your stereo system, and is an ideal accompaniment for a house party.
Display – there will be a lit up display on your stereo system, which will have information such as the time, track of CD you are playing, and other essential information.
I Pod Dock – enables you to play all your downloaded music from your I-pod in great quality. You can compile play-lists to enjoy, or select a random mix from your I-pod.
As well as many different styles, there are also lots of manufacturers who supply stereo systems. Some of these include, Sony, Panasonic, LG and Samsung. The prices of these will vary, depending on the style and features you decide to opt for. You can pick up stereo systems at a low cost, so you won’t need to break the bank.
