Vinyl Record Shop – Providing Better Audio Quality Than Today’s CDs and DVDs
Are you old enough to remember vinyl records? If you are, then you would know that the main problems when it comes to these records are scratching, fingerprints and skipping. You can still find these great pieces of the music history by going to a vinyl record shop!
People think that with the advent of modern technology, CD’s and DVD’s are far better than vinyl records of yesterday, buy are they really better? The thing that made vinyl records sound excellent is because the sounds were grooved into them, mirroring the original waveform of the sound. This means that you are hearing the exact music as how it was recorded. Nothing is lost when it is played through the speakers and no conversion is needed since it is in analog. This is why vinyl records are so rare today and looking for them requires you to visit a vinyl record shop.
On the other hand, DVD’s take a digital recording that still needs to be converted to analog in order to be played over the speakers. This is also true with CD’s. Vinyl records have better sound quality since it is in raw analog format. You can only mimic the high quality sound of vinyl records by hooking your CD’s and DVD’s on a high tech speaker system. But that is as close as it can get.
The industry is now aware of the situation and has come up with a fix to upgrade the sound quality of our current audio storage devices. The concentration, however, is on the DVD audio quality. But with this advancement, another problem arises. Finding the right DVD audio player is difficult and pricey. Hopefully, it will become the mainstream and will be more convenient in the future.
As it stands right now, vinyl record quality is better than CD’s when analog is compared side by side. Despite the advantages of vinyl records, there were still some major cons that the world refuses to go back with it. However, if you are careful enough to own one, getting vinyl record from a vinyl record shop is recommended.
